Last Thursday, we released our 2017 results with a small group of people in Sydney. We asked them to commit to being kind. In return, they would take home a copy of A Year of Kindness, a compilation of a year of our SundayKindness stories with the results and impact of the AIME program spread throughout.
They were given a pen and a Post-it note. This is what they wrote.
“Tell my mum friends what wonderful mothers they are.”
“I am going to make time to take each of my team out for some one-on-one time this month to learn something new about them.”
“I’ll reach out to someone who seems to be having trouble.”
“I will smile at three strangers on the street each day.”
“I will stop and connect with the people I interact with.”
“I will provide food for the homeless.”
“I will ask someone each day how they are feeling.”
“Spend more time with our Indigenous employees to really listen and support their dreams and make them happen.”
“I will be present and listen.”
“I will donate blood at Red Cross.”
“I commit to asking for a name and telling them to have a nice day”
“I will commit to mentoring.”
