VISION

We have lost our way as a species. Measuring transactions, not relations. We've lost our role as a species, the kindness that ties us in relation, allows us to play our role as the connector between millions of species on planet earth. We've lost our long lens on the future.

And we can reclaim it.

We are bringing together the festivals of the world to place kindness on the transactional ledger and to install reclaiming of knowledge, processes, solutions, intelligence, designs, into the centre of the festival experience.

HUMAN/KIND/\\/KIND\HUMAN is a 5 year campaign to centre kindness in the economic heart of humanities work and to find a measurement on the balance sheet that values and centres kindness.

The following offers opportunities for Festivals to be involved. All of the parts must come together to make a whole, a systems change, not a side attraction.

S Charles Lee coined the phrase the "Show Starts on the Sidewalk", we know through Indigenous systems patters the deep process in ceremony, in taking the time to focus on process and relations, that when we spend time working on how people arrive, the gathering can be much deeper in it's pursuit of knowledge, and with intention we can work on design of tools and knowledge that we leave behind.

There are two levers up for grabs at Festivals to re-wire the network patterns of value:

1) The VIP ticket

2) The Complimentary ticket

VIKP

We send a signal before the festival starts that the modern hero, are those who are kind, we show what happens in the world when we give and not expect anything in return and know it's not a waste of time. This happens as part of the ticket release and becomes the beautiful set of knowledge to build off - the value of human effort and time. Festivals can build this into their balance sheet and work with AIME to create kindness economic data sets.

COMPS FOR KINDNESS

In the Complimentary ticket lane, we shape an install that can tour festivals and be build right up to the end of the 5 year HUMAN/KIND/\\/KIND\HUMAN campaign.

People enter the festival with kindness in their hearts - open and ready to be moved. Open and ready to relate.

RECLAIMED

Screen Shot 2023-02-15 at 10.20_edited.j

We set up a ReclAIMEd installation, to create a process for people to engage in solving the challenges of fashion waste, and through that lens to learn more deeply about Indigenous systems knowledge, imagination, intelligence from outside the margins, and reclaiming our role as a custodial species.

KINDNESS GRANTS

The festival raises $$ to go into supporting projects of kindness. Post festival, the festival offer Kindness Grants for people to apply to secure who have been to the festival. AIME Helps design and shape the application template to encourage systems change projects and the festival community have:
1) People that offer to mentor kindness grant winners
2) Small budget that goes to kindness grant winners

GIVE, GIVE

What tools do we leave behind?

We work with Festivals to model the reclaiming behaviour and work on a design experience that showcases a reclaiming of stages, or waste, into a tool that can be left behind in the community. eg. A music studio for a youth centre, an imagination room for the local school etc

WHAT ELSE?

We’re committed to this journey and to help you plant kindness at the centre of your festival. We admit we don’t have all the answers, but we’re here to help you frame the questions so we can find the answers, together. So any ideas you have - let’s talk!
